Los Alerces National Park
A system of lakes linked by rivers that form dangerous rapids gives this park a particular physiognomy. The centre of this system is Futalaufquen Lake; towards the north of Esquel there are a number of other lakes such as Cisne, Menendez, Rivadavia, Verde, Kuger & Stange, Cholila and Puelo. La Trochita
20 km from the city is Nahuel Pan Station, where the train called “Trochita” leads to Ingeniero Jacobacci. This is one of the few narrow-gauge railways in the world that still runs across the deserted Patagonian regions.
