Remote and peaceful, above the southeast shores of Rupanco Lake, Puntiagudo Lodge is part of a small farm in the temperate Andean rain forest. Near the borders of Vicente Perez Rosales and Puyehue National Parks, the lodge is an ideal place to begin or end the trek known as Los Jesuitas lEI Callao hot springs between Rupanco and Todos Los Santos Lake. The lodge is particularly popular with fishermen, who can enjoy catching summer run steel head, rainbow and brown trout as well as landlocked and ocean going Atlantic salmon. But there are other interesting activities, including horse back riding, reading a good book by the log fire with the owner's dogs and cats at your feet, and good walking around the lake shore. The Lodge provides personal attention and very homely environment in the shadows of Puntiagudo volcano.
The guest wing has two spacious rooms, each with a private bath at terrace level. Upstairs, three double rooms share two baths. The older part of the lodge is a forty-year old wood cabin converted to hold a reception area, dining room and living area. Meals are served family style. All services are available on a reservation only basis.
